1. Detailed Information Collection
We only collect information that is strictly necessary to provide you with your consolidated portfolio views and dividend tracking. This includes:
- Identity Data: Email address, username, and encrypted password used to secure your individual account.
- Financial Record Data: Tickers, transaction dates, shares, purchase prices, and currency denominations which you input or upload via CSV files.
- SBC & Compensation Data: Unvested stock grants, vesting schedules, and projected income details linked to your professional compensation.
- Technical & Log Data: Like most web applications, we may receive information such as your IP address, browser type, and operating system to help maintain security and improve the platform's reliability.
- Preference Data: UI settings including dark mode preference, numeric display formats, and preferred base currency for consolidation.
2. Detailed Use of Your Information
We process your information based on the performance of our contract with you. This processing includes:
- Automated Analytics: Using your portfolio data to calculate total net worth, unrealized gains/losses, dividend yields, and long-term performance graphs.
- Curated Communication: Sending requested dividend payment notifications and security alerts. We do not send promotional emails unless explicitly requested.
- Platform Optimization: Analyzing aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to determine which tools are most used and how they can be improved.
- Data Persistence: Maintaining your portfolio records across multiple sessions so you can access your unified "Big Picture" from any device.
3. Use of Cookies and Local Storage
To provide a seamless experience, we use cookies and local browser storage for the following specific purposes:
- Essential Authentication: To keep you logged in to your account as you navigate between different pages.
- Security (CSRF): To protect your account from various technical attacks (Cross-Site Request Forgery).
- Preferences: To remember whether you prefer Light or Dark mode and what your preferred font scale is.
4. Your Data and Third Parties
While we do not sell your information, we utilize trusted third-party services to power essential platform features:
- Market Data Providers: We send stock tickers to these services to retrieve current prices and historical dividend data. We never share your quantity of shares or purchase prices.
- Stripe (Payment Processing): If you subscribe to a premium tier, Stripe handles all credit card processing. We never see or store your primary card numbers.
- Infrastructure Providers: Our cloud infrastructure ensures your data is isolated and protected at industry-leading standards.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your identity and portfolio information from our active databases within 30 days. Standard database backups may persist for slightly longer rotation periods.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. You can do most of this directly through your Settings or by contacting us.
